"Did that happen because I'm a woman?"?

Question

Do feminists have a victim mentality? Example: a feminist and a man go for a job. The man gets the job. The feminist immediately complains about sexism.

Deborah Meaden (Dragons' Den) says "I'm not a feminist. I consider my position in the business world not as a woman but as a person. And don't think, "Did that happen because I'm a woman?" http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2…

I think Deborah Meaden makes a lot of sense, but has feminism become simply a way of avoiding taking responsibility when things go wrong in their lives?

She seems to make more sense than a LOT of Feminists you get to see/read/talk to.

SOME feminists do. But not all.

I like that quote. She seems like a reasonable woman: she isn't all about her gender and looking for discrimination.

PS, if you think they're the only ones out there with a victim mentality, read some of the questions asked by men on this board. Some of you men have a victim mentality too.

Sure, and if the feminist got the job the man would immediately complain that she got the job only because she was a woman.

Feminism is gender-based and gender-biased. In fact it is just another name for fascism.

That's not a phenomenon that happens to people who already have a strong sense of personal responsibility. I like Deborah (that show is teh awesome), but she's making a big mistake when she says that feminism and gynocentrism are one and the same.
