Which book do you think it's better: portrait of a lady (henry james) or the awakening (kate chopin)?

PLEASE ANSWER IF YOU KNOW WHAT I AM ASKING! :)


I need help, it's just that I am going to read madame bovary, and i need to pair it up with another book.. which one do u think would be best?


--IF YOU HAVEN'T READ MADAME BOVARY, IT DOESN'T MATTER. I WANT SOME OPINIONS :)

The Portrait of a Lady, definitely. It's such a fantastic book, and much better than The Awakening.
