Some examples could be:

1) When Mrs Mallard goes to her room after hearing the news of husband's death, she looks out upon the beautiful spring scenery. Could this be symbolic? Of what?

If it were a dark dreary winter night that was outside the window, would that change how the reader interprets Mrs. Mallard's feelings regarding her husband's supposed death?

2) Could Mrs. Mallard's ""heart trouble" been either medically or emotionally based?

3) From the information given, what kind of marriage did the Mallards have?
