I'm trying to find a countertop and tile color for bath remodel?

I chose cabinets that are chocolate in color, it is very dark; almost black. The vessel sinks are a mix of golden yellow, copper, and supposedly dark brown (you can see the picture @ overstock.com, it's the Kraus Fire Opal Vessel Sink). The walls are very close to the yellow in the bowl (I believe it's called Autumn Gold from Behr). I'm trying to figure out what quartz or granite countertop to go with these colors and then a tile for the floor and shower. I was thinking a medium gray countertop color, but I'm not sure if that would go. I'm afraid if I go with a brown countertop, it would be too much brown in the room, because I think the tile then would also have to be a dark beige to a light brown. My husband doesn't like the way a lighter colored countertop looks on top of the dark cabinets (he thinks it looks like frosting on a cake). I think it would look nice, but I'm hoping we can find a color we both agree on. The room has a lot of light because of a skylight.

Keep them both light.
I love that you mixed brown with yellow. That combination is beautiful.
Look into an antiqued white counter top and a light tile fo the floor.

Have fun.

There are so many color choices in Granite that would bring ALL the colors together.Go to a Granite store and take a look and you will be amazed. Most Granite has black in it along with brown gold and any other choice you prefer..The tile shouls be a natural stone that you can find at Home Depot or Lowes.Fancy it up a little with some glass tiles along the top..The natural stone has a Rustic feel and look that would be great..

What about going with a black granite countertop? I've seen a lot of rooms with cabinets that are a deep wood color with black countertops. Then you could do a tan/beige/light brown flooring to lighten it up a bit and you would keep your husband happy by not going with the 'frosting on the cake' light countertop color.
