What are the closest ski mountains to detroit, michigan?

ive never been to michigan before and originally i planned on going to denver to see my aunt. i recently found out that the price to get into the detroit auto show is just $12! the detroit auto show is the coolest auto show i have ever heard about next to geneva and paris. im a car fanatic so i cant pass up a chance to see one of the worlds best auto shows, but i do want to ski. i really want to ski and i was just wondering how far away are the nearest mountains to ski on?

Mt Brighton in Brighton ( near Ann Arbor) approx 1/2hr from the D
Alpine Valley in Waterford about 40 minutes from Detroit
Mt. Holly in Holly around 34 minutes from the D
Pine Knob in Auburn Hills about 45 minutes from downtown

Don't let anyone recommend MT ELLIOTT! Thats a major road that runs North and South and is flat as hell. ( Sorry, old joke, couldn't resisit )

probably Mt. Holly or Mt. Brighton. Beware though, Michigan's "mountains" don't compare to Colorados.
