Who was the famous female who said that if you have time to write about about your life, you're not living.?

I want to say it was Anais Nin but that would seem to go against type since she was a writer about her experiences. I know it was someone who was prolific during the first half of the 20th century.

"You ask me why I do not write something.... I think one's feelings waste themselves in words, they ought all to be distilled into actions and into actions which bring results."
-Florence Nightingale (1820-1910)

There are a few versions of this quote by Florence Nightingale around the Internet. One variation is: "I think one's feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all to be distilled into actions which bring results."

The source for the first quote above is given below.
