    It seems as though it's a quote that requires us to put something into it ourselves. My interpretation is that we should choose to make one of the courses more bold (as a plan) and then follow through, commit to the decision and make it a bold one.

    If you've listed the pros and cons of two courses of action and you seem to have no basis on which to decide, pick the one that takes you out of your usual experiences more, the one that might produce the greater change and transformation. If you're undecided in a restaurant as to which dish to order, pick the one you have least experience with. Whether or not you like it, it will broaden your horizons and teach you either something new that you like or teach you about something that you don't like.

    it means when you are on the fence about something, or trying to decide between 2 things, go in the direction that makes you most apprehensive; or choose the path that will make you seem bold (because it is so asking); or choose the option that seems difficult because doing that is bold.
