Interesting question, my mind has never combined the sisters with anyone though. or the cure, the cult, depeche mode *who are on tour right now :), bauhaus, nick cave and the badseeds, black tape for a blue girl, leonard cohen, souxie and the banshees or even the human league.
As a deejay who played them when they were all ground breakers I can tell you, that if anyone sounds like those on this list, they are the ones to steal significance, not the originals.
Love the list of tuneage though!

They don't go out of the way to steal the style of SoM as with bands like The Merry Thoughts, The 69 Eyes etc. who've tried too hard to be the next Andrew Eldritch...
SWR has just borrowed the aesthetics of SoM (drum machine, post-punk guitars with gothy synths). They hint with huge overtones

She Wants Revenge is like, the most generic sounding post-punk revival band.
They sound vaguely like all the big post punk acts.

edit: My internet nick name is a play on that song. :D
