Why Death Proof and Planet Terror so similar?

Death Proof (Quentin Tarantino) and Planet Terror (Robert Rodriguez) are directed almost identically with the scetchy seemingly scratched up screens and the skips in the tape and the casts are extremely similar, Quentin Tarantino is even in death proof at one point. oh and what other movies are all sketchy kinda spoofy like these.

Because they were both a QT movies and the scratched up look was what he wanted, hence the title Grindhouse.Its a name given to movie theaters back in the 60's and 70's that would show movies so much that they would be all scratchy and spliced together from breaking so many times. He missed those days so he dicided to show the younger Gen how it was.I really don't think it was worth a trip down memory lane! I really don't think you should have to pay for crappy film stock!

I love Grindhouse, but I like Death Proof better, it's kick*** XD
hmm, I don't know of any other movies in that style, but I'd really like to see them.

edit: House of 1000 Corpses is kinda similar in the style
