What book should I read for my English class?

I have three weeks left to read a book for my AP English class. I'm a pretty slow reader, especially if the book is harder. I've read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, and I loved it and it took me about a week and a half to read. The other books on my reading list are:

Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
Charlotte Bronte - Jane Eyre
Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad
A Tale of Two Cities - Charles Dickens
A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving
The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kingsolver
Long Day's Journey Into Night - Eugene O'Neill
Cry, the Beloved Country - Alan Paton
A Midsummer Night's Dream - William Shakespeare
Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant - Anne Tyler.

I'd pick either A Prayer for Own Meany or Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant. Both are longish but far more approachable (easier to read and comprehend on reading) than most of the others.

I'd read A Midsummer Night's Dream, as it has many different characters, and is easy to soak in.

OK, if you are a slow reader then get a film of Pride and Predjudice to help you. The one with Kiera Knightly is pretty good. The BBC series with Colin Firth is better, but it's much longer to watch. Jane Eyre is a great book for girls, and a Tale of Two Cities is a great story, although both of them are in Victorian English. However, films have been made of those also. Cry the Beloved Country is good and might be easier going. If you liked the Handmaid's Tale, you might like the style of the poisonwood Bible. Don't try the Shakespeare unless you find his language easy to understand.

All books of your list aren´t easy to read, you´ll have to take time. I would suggest A Prayer for Owen Meany, a very good book. May be you first watch the film and then read the book :-) saving time.
