Why does everyone pick on Kirk Cameron? I know he is a creationist, but why not live and let live?

I am a Christian and I believe there is nothing in the Bible that contradicts evolution or science. However, not everyone has the same opinion I do and I recognize and respect this.

Kirk Cameron is a very nice person. I saw him in a debate and one atheists said she wanted to PUNCH him in the face but Kirk Cameron NEVER raised his voice and he did not get mad back at her. He turned the other cheek.

So, why attack Kirk Cameron?

I do not understand.

If a creationist said he wanted to punch an atheist in the face would this be okay?

If not, why is okay for an atheist to punch a Christian if the Christian is not being mean to them?

Because Kirk Cameron makes very high claims concerning God's existence, in Christianity which challenges their atheism and pokes holes in their vacuum. They like the vacuum. They like having the universe with only one god in it: themselves.

Kirk tends to be a sniveling Ray Comfort clone. He may "appear" as a nice guy, but his arguments are divisive and often refuted- which doesn't seem to matter to him (thus making him dishonest).

Kirk also has the personality of a used car salesman.

EDIT: Nowhere in the above statement does it say that it is ok to punch someone in the face for their assonance.

I would love to let dingalings like Kirk Cameron live and let live, but he and folks like him do not extend the same courtesy to me. So stop whining when someone picks on a religious salesman.

No, it's not nice to say you want to punch someone in the face, but Christians have a long history of not only NOT turning the other cheek but of being the first to do the punching. Metaphorically speaking. And, no, two wrongs don't make a right, but sometimes people say things they later regret. I wasn't there, so I can't comment further.

Everything in the Bible contradicts evolution. Everything in nature contradicts evolution. The Bible says that mankind is no good and that man is getting worse and worse, see 2 Tim. 3:1-5, 13 and 4:3-4. And if evolution is true, why is it that after nearly 4000 years of circumcision, Jews are not BORN circumcised? Anyway, people don't like Kirk Cameron because he tells people they are sinners and that they need a Saviour and people don't want to hear that about themselves. He insults, defames and spreads lies/misinformation other religions and non-believers. I personally could care less what he does, but let's not whitewash things. If you actively seek to put other people and their ways down, eventually you'll get the same back in return.

I remember hearing a clip from his radio show a few years back about him "infiltrating" a druid "cult." *rolls eyes* Religions you do not subscribe to are not "cults" (in the derogatory sense) just because they do not share your beliefs, nor are other religions worshiping the devil just because your religions say so.

Beyond that, saying you want to punch someone and actually doing it are two different things.
