Do you think marc andre fleury is underrated?

Fleury is my favorite goalie i liked him since he played in the QMJHL when he played for cape breton, but is he underrated?

Fleury is a good goalie who can take over games and practically win them all himself, see his performance in game 4 of the philly series for example.

I used to watch him play with the Screaming Eagles back in the day and I knew he'd be a great goalie. I don't think he's underrated but I do think a lot of people knock him for not being clutch or consistent. In my opinion, that's totally BS. He just won a cup. You can't win a cup without stellar goaltending, right?

No, I think he is rated just fine. He is a good goalie, with the potential to be a great goalie...But also, look at what he has in front of him....Not saying that he is bad, but he has a lot of help...however, when he needs to come up big...he does!

He's alright in the regular season, but he turns his game up in the post-season, which matters.

And I don't think you need "stellar" goaltending to win the cup, if Red Wings can do it with Osgood that goes to prove it.

Underrated? um no he is a little over rated

he has to show the same type of play he did in the finals this year to prove he is worthy of being one of the top 3 in the league. His inconsistent play from past will always haunt him. Red Wings torched him the first time around, the post helped him the second time around. What will help him this time? A departed Hal Gill and 30 % of his defense last year.

I think Fleury is very underrated. He is ranked 7th in playoff wins for current NHL goaltenders (31 wins.) And he's 24.!
