First off, congratulations on discovering your entrepreneurial spirit =)

Secondly, I would get a degree and oodles of experience in business. You will learn a lot more useful information to use in STARTING and running your business than if you were to study massage therapy. In all honesty, being the owner/operator, you will not have much time to actually engage in massage therapy, hair styling, etc.

So get your business degree and hire massage therapists, hair stylists, counselors, and any other employee you may need. Good luck!!!

personal experience: i used to be a graphic design/art major until i realized that the degree there would only take me so far. Majoring in business allows me to do this AND also opens other doors if i ever change my mind about making a career switch

Or you could take a program that offers both. Some schools provide training in starting your own business when you near the end of the course.

If you commit to a degree it's a looooooot more money than a certificate course that gives you training in a specific field like massage.

I suggest a yahoo search for schools that offer massage therapy and business training together.

You don't have to know how to do massage to run a massage business. You can actually make much more by not doing the massage yourself but hiring others to do it. I would go to business school and take marketing classes and also go to work at the front desk of a place to learn the ropes or just go buy a franchise. They have it all laid out on how to build a successful business.
