I need to get my mortagage people in gear. Who do I go to .To get them moving on something they've been slow?

I asked them in Feb. to modafy my loan. Now it is Aug. and I still am paying the same amount. So I need to know who is over their heads per say. Who can I call over them.Would it be Atterney General , Congressman, Who ?

To the person who asked if I was nice when I called and talked to them YES I was. It is just that I am starting to panick because I don't have enough money to go around, and I don't want them to forclose. That is what is going to happen if they don't get going.

Here is what you don't understand about mortgage modification.

THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED TO MODIFIY IT...AT ALL.

Obama and Bush, made this CLEAR...the banks are permitted to modify the mortgage, but the Federal gov't stopped short and did NOT require them to do so.

So you can complain all you want...but you had better be nice.

You have other options, you may not like them, but you have other options.

1. Sell the house.

2. Deed in Lieu of a foreclosure...this will help you avoid a deficiency judgement if the house doesn't sell enough at a foreclosure sale to cover the balance you owe.

They are doing you a favor; they have no obligation to modify your loan. Have you called them to (nicely) find out if there are any problems, can you help in any way, do they need more information? They are overworked and understaffed in this are of the business right now, and someone who deals with them pleasantly is going to get a LOT better service than someone who calls in like some hothead with demands and such.
