A narnia question...?

Question

ok in the magicians nephew they planted a tree that keeps evil off narnia, and to keep to witch out of narnia.
But, in the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe why do the witch can enter narnia and cause the ever-ending snow?
Does the tree lost its powers?


Sorry if its mentioned on the book but im in the part where edmund goes to the white witch's house and that got me wondering

The tree, like all living things, died. Jadis could then enter Narnia because the tree no longer existed.

The witch entered the realm with them. She was the one from the other world (the older one with the weird sun). They accidentally woke her up and brought her with them and eventually she became the white witch.

That's a good question. I don't think the books answer it. I've re-read them each a zillion times and that's not something I ever found out. Maybe the tree faded over time? Check to see what Aslan said about it in the first book (I would, but my books are 300 miles away from me right now).
Are you sure they planted a tree in narnia? Now that you mention it, I think that's right, but I"m not absolutely sure. I don't read the first book as much as the others.
