Palin is meaningless - why is she a threat to you?

At least she had qualifications.

whether or not sarah palin runs for president is a moot point as no election will be here until 12. what adds to her resume is the failure of obama policy. nothing else is needed. im curiuos, however, by your post, if successfull, beautiful women intimidate you? in short, ANYONE but obama could win the next election based on the mindless race to marxism. the question about this situation should be why are you so concerned with palin getting to clean up the train wreck?

Technically, there are only three qualifications to run for President. They are:
    1) be at least 35 years old
    2) be a natural born citizen
    or
a citizen of the United States on September 17, 1787 (or June 21, 1788, depending on if the time of adoption of the Constitution means when the Constitutional Convention adopted it or the date of its ratification)- however, this part is moot due to the fact that all citizens at that time are now dead
    and
    3) be a resident of the United States for at least 14 years.
However, I would like Gary Johnson to win (basically, by what he says in speeches, a younger Ron Paul-type politician)
Edit: Lonelyonly- There are more VP nominees who went on to be president because one must be a VP nominee before being a VP. Now, if you are referring to VP nominees that didn't win the office of VP, then you're right.

Thanks to Katie Couric's interview of Sarah Palin last Fall, we know that the former Vice-Presidential nominee is no History genius. When asked if there was any US Supreme Court decision she disagreed with, she couldn't come up with any.
I have a political history question for the Governor. In America's political history, how many former Vice-Presidential nominees have gone on to be elected President?
How many? If so, can you name them?
Well, the answer is, there was only one. That was Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was James M. Cox' running mate in 1920, and he was elected President in 1932.
Governor Palin proudly brags that she can see the coastline of Russia from her home in Alaska. The only thing FDR could see from his majestic home in Hyde Park was the beautiful Hudson River. But, he did more for this country, and, indeed, the world, than any modern president in history. All from the confines of a wheelchair, I might add.
While Sarah Palin had a designer's wardrobe worth thousands of dollars provided to her by the GOP, all FDR had was his sheer nerve and genuine concern for his fellow Americans. And who could forget his jaunty chin and famous cigarette holder clenched in his teeth? He led us out of the Great Depression and served as our beacon of hope during the dark days of World War II.
In closing, I would like to paraphrase a famous line from the 1988 campaign. Senator Lloyd Bentsen, in addressing his opponent Dan Quayle, said: "...Senator, you are no Jack Kennedy."
Well, Governor, you can take your now tarnished beauty pageant crown, of long ago, and your borrowed designer clothes and kindly walk off the American stage, because you are no Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Unlike most politicians today, she has taken the honorable step of resigning her political post to begin campaigning for higher office (so she does not take pay to be Governor while running for U.S. Senate or the Presidency).
