Is it true there are no cars in Sark channel island?

i find kinda intriguing really.... i once heard that Sark is unique in that it doesn't allow any mode of transport on its land... is it true? and is the ONLY channel island that has no cars?

Yes, it is true. I had the pleasure to sail around all the Channel Islands some years ago, and Sark was certainly the most charming one. Mind you, it is a very small island and the little that is brought to the island is taken by the motorized tricycles. I guess Alderney would also be without cars if it wasn't for its military position in the past. What I found most amazing is the threshold harbour of Guernesey. You can only enter it when above half tide. And since the tide when I was there was 11 meters! Anyway, did you know that Guernesey is actually Groene oy, a Scandinavian name? Yep, Normandy is the country of the ... Norsemen.

Im From Guernsey !
I vist Sark all the time, there are no cars, Motor Bikes, Just Horse and carts and push bike.
