The only one of those I've read is Measure to Measure. Go ahead and read that! You can't go wrong with Shakespeare. :)

I've read The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, and it is certainly interesting. He was quite a character and I would recommend the book. I'm not a huge reader of non-fiction, but I adored this book.

I've also read Song of Solomon, which is excellent. Toni Morrison is one of my all-time favorite authors. The stories, while they contain elements that could be considered "magical realism" are still very honest. The characters are well developed as is the storyline. I would highly recommend anything she has written.

I've also read Hemingway, and adore him as well. The Sun Also Rises is amazing. However, I've met people who hate it. So if you're considering Hemingway, you might read the first chapter or so to see if the style is for you.

I've read the Metamorphosis, The Awakening, The Republic, Walden and On the Road.

I'll give you this link to some stuff about the Awakening and recommend you go with that; it's a fantastic book: http://www.examiner.com/x-13594-Clevelan…
