Isabel Lucas Megan Fox (transformers)?

i saw the film and was simply taken aback by isabel's beauty, but after searching up images of her i noticed that she simply does not look good in pictures. i also searched up megan fox's pics and she looks as stunning in pictures as she does in video. lucas seems to look hotter than fox in video but wayyy worse in pictures. she simply is not photogenic but is really hot (looks like a 7.5 in pics, 10 in video) anyone know the reason behind this? and are there any other actors/actresses you've also noticed this phenomenon in?

First, it depends on the state of comfort.

in still photography, usually the person is not comfortable, and the output is ugly. In snap shoots or video people look better.

Second, the level of mind and confidence

Smart people, like Rachael Taylor look better because you can see the powerful character through their eyes. The less smart like these two look blank and not interesting.

Third, some people are not actually pretty, which shows in stills, but make themselves look prettier live by seductive gestures, joking etc...

Fourth, makeup plays a very big role. The right makeup makes both video and stills look better.

I suggest you compare other actresses with their persona, mental level and physical beauty. Just for reference, I've included my Rachael's page which discusses everything on her personality also.
