Moon People by Dale Courtney?

Question

I saw this on a news website and thought it was an outright joke. If you read the first page you'll see what I mean: http://imgur.com/5dkGc.gif

It's full of grammatical errors and I had a headache reading it (just the first page). Apparently, the entire book is like that. Has anyone read this? Could you maybe shed some light on why it's so poorly written? Maybe the poor grammar connects to the story somehow; I don't know.

The thing that gets me is that it has some pretty high ratings on amazon. Maybe his fans have just as bad concepts of grammar as he does.

If this simply has poor grammar for no reason, who, in their right mind, would publish this?

The author is self-published. That explains the poor grammar because there was, most likely, a limited editorial process for the book before its release.

As for the ratings and comments on Amazon they are written in the same style as the book with poor grammar, spelling and syntax. They are probably are poking fun at the book by being satirical, sarcastic and/or ironic. It is not uncommon for high rankings to occur with bad products available on Amazon as a joke. For example, see the "three wolf moon shirt" on Amazon.

Alot of people like reading about The Moon and also about space Travel and Mar's. Thats probably the Reason why it has real good rating's. Its also a Science fiction book; of coarse the event's couldn't of really Happened.

The book is the moon story which tells you a story that is full of exciting information about the moon and the stories around the moon.And i feel that when you will read it that the story is really good. And also you must not believe what everything says on the internet because the wolves shirt that I bought was really not a good shirt for women because i was wearing it and it was really not as promised because i didnt see any super model girls coming to me or approach me. And that is the answer
