How disrepectful was Jamie Foxx at the BET awards?

How dare Jamie Foxx make fun of this musical and cultural icon, wearing an ill-fitting red jacket, and cracking jokes about Michael's baby mama and his noses. This is not the time or place to do this. Save Jay-Z, the O'Jays tribute and Ne-Yo's tribute to Keith Sweat, Guy and BBD, the awards as a whole was a complete disaster, capped off with Ving Rhames highness or drunkeness. The BET awards should have been put off another week or so, because it was clear this so-called tribute was hurried, and everyone's mind was on Michael. Also, it could have given them enough time to find another host!!!!

It's the BET awards; did you really expect a quality show? Every year it gets worse, they need to cancel that station because they are so out of it. All of that cursing was uncalled for and it was just a disgusting show to watch. As far as Jamie Foxx goes, I thought his jokes were funny, he didn't mean any harm when he was talking about Micheal Jackson. He's a comedian and it's his job to make people laugh, plus everyone knows that he was only having fun and was trying to lighten the mood. I didn't like the after-party though, because he was extremely rude to his employees and he was drunk. It was a sad tribute (if that's what they want to call it). I'd rather watch MTV's tribute to him than anything produced by BET.

He wasnt being rude he was celebrating this mans legacy im sure MJ would have wanted everyone to be like that i didnt hear any celebs complaining about it everyone was having a good time he would never disrepsect MJ on purpose in fron of the whole world and in front of his dad and his sister who i remind you came out with Jamie at the end of the show so dont take things so seriously.

Forget being disrespectful to MJ.. There is a bigger issue at hand. Jamie was racist towards every race but his own by saying "this BLACK man, we SHARED him with everyone else"... he is such a loser and needs to quit making racial boundaries.... exact reason why we will always have race issue... cause some losers just cant get the hell over it

Put off....haha. I think you forget it was an award show. NOT the Michael Jackson show. i think they should have made a separate tribute though.

I didn't find the Jamie Foxx thing offensive, but I'm not sensitive.

Omg thank you for that question! I know he was soo disrespectful ! I will never watch anything or listen to anything that comes from him ever in my life. I was soo pissed when i saw what he did on the BET Awards it wasnt even funny!!! And it is NEVER, NEVER the time or the place to do that ****. I was so mad and still am about that, he just wanted the spotlight on himself taking abuse of the situation. It was the most worst tribute, most disrespect ful i ever seen. Who is he to say that we cant be sad, this is something serious a human being died, a very loved one. Michael Jackson was soooo sweet i cant even describe. He was too good for this world. And why was jamie foxx saying that he belonged to us blacks, why is he speaking for MJ, MJ made it very clear that he loves ppl all around the world. Thats what his music represented too, for EVERYBODY. Jamie was just showing us once again how low class ghetto *** he is.And all the other celebs didnt even care he died. please. diddy just wants to abuse the situation too.

l think it was not too bad, but l like the idea of maybe put off the show for one or more weak to do a better tribute, or maybe they should not put on the same night the tribute and the show

I don't think he was being disrespectful. He was just being hisself. I mean he wore clothing that MJ wore so what was so bad about that? May I remind no one knew MJ was gonna die. Cuz if they did then they could have properly prepared for his tribute. They got the news the same time we did. They wanted to honor him. Yea they didn't have to put it in the awards they could have did something seperately. But just remember everything was last minute. Don't blame it on them. Jamie jokes hello he's a comedian. I don't think he meant to offend anybody. Yea Ving shouldn't have acted like that. But its in the past move on.

He wasn't trying to be 'disrespectful'. He said in the awards "This whole show was dedicated to our King, Michael after we found out about his tragic end only last week and we asked everyone to try and wear something to represent him" That's why you saw estelle wearing a white glove. And neyo wearing High slacks and white socks with the shoes. And Jamie Foxx was simply dressing as the king did in most of his concerts - representing him. Not disrespecting him. And didn't you hear them sing MJ songs and things like that? It was a tribute! They were trying to resemble and represent him. It's a pity you took it the wrong way :\

But if you're looking for a better quality tribute then watch the VH1 Michael Jackson Tribute. It's AMAZING! Almost made me cry, and i don't cry easily! Haha.
