Michael Jackson over Farrah Faucett? Really?

I am more then a little upset with the media after finding out about a man's (and I use that term loosely) death, who in that last 2 decades has been infamous for his actions and a man who most of America feels is a pedophile and the only reason he got away with it is because he has money, I think it is appalling how the media takes his death and trumps it over a woman who was a real entertainer.
I was listening to the news last night and they were talking about Michael this, Michael that, like he was still big like he was back in the early 80's, they were treating his memory like he was some sort of great humanitarian. Whereas when they got to Farrah, is was much shorter, and not as much information on her...The most they brought out about her was that her son is spending time in prison.
Who really cares! I want to here about the good things that she accomplished, and her rise to stardom and the way she made it...I feel that the media should have spent more time on her and not on that pedophile.

That's just my opinion...What's yours?

Well put
first off shut the **** up...he is an icon and has done more for the media than her....he is a legend and yes his death was sudden hers was expected... no one really knows her besides the charlies angels girl from the old days...everyone knows michael world wide so shut up

I agree that MJ's death was more sudden and unexpected...All I am saying is that I don't think he deserves all the attention he is getting...As for telling me to shut up...I am entitled to my oppinon just as anyone else is.

I agree that the media is spending too much time on MJ. To all these that say oh he has done so much for the media and for people...The man was a wacko...NOT A SAINT! There is no way he deserves the attention he is getting.

My opinion is that you're a frickin' hypocrite.

If you really cared about Farrah Fawcett that much you would have had the respect to at least write her name properly.

Your lack of respect to both of them makes me nauseous.
Death is not a popularity contest.

I agree with you 100%. Farrah deserved to have more time devoted to her without the pedophile's carnival coming to town on the same day.

I agree completely, Michael Jackson was a douche, and Farrah is a respected woman. It is the old thing even Pedophiles become top blokes after death. People always see the good in people when they die.

Not sure it was actually proven that he was a paedophile was it? And didn't the family of one boy drop the charges when he gave them a large sum of money? What does that say about them?

Well, the thing is Michael's death was unexpected unlike Farrah. Hence, the surge in press coverage of his death. Secondly, Michael was an internationally recognized artist unlike Farrah. Nobody in Chile etc. I would say knows about Farrah than they would about Michael.

I liked FF as a person far better than MJ. However, although MJ didn't do much over the past 10 years except have sleepovers with boys, marry several women, and dangle his kid out the window, spend like a maniac, etc. I do think he made a far larger contribution to entertainment than FF, and overall was more talented. Also, MJ's death was sudden, unexpected, mysterious, and at a fairly young age.

Michael Jackson's death was sudden. Whereas Farrah's was not.

I do agree that Michael's death and his biography was really blown out. He also had his dark moments.

Farrah also had her dark moments with Charlie's Angels. She had a contract dispute and is the only reason that she did not last more than a season.

Let them both rest in peace.

His death was more sudden and he was more controversial...

But I agree I will miss Farrah a lot more, of course now I understand why she finally agreed to marry her long time lover.

All death are tragic, but I would have liked to have heard more about Farrah...

of course this really is a blessing for her family, at least they don't have to deal with the media hounding them in their time grief!

We should really just leave them all alone!

first off, the whole world wasnt treating him like a pedo. only the haters. Michael Jackson was an americon icon that affected not only mine but tons of other peoples generations. and im only 16. mii parents and mii grandparents grew up listening and watching him. Yes i have watched Farrah's Story...it was shorter i know. i didnt even know who the lady was or anyone else from mii generation until i saw it with mii parents after mj. Michael was better known world wide and Farrah wasnt. you just have to accept that and the huge examples.

The world will miss the very beautiful and talented Farrah. I agree 100% with what you are saying. In today's society where gay and lesbian acts are treated as a common thing, it is politically correct to adorn a pedophile. It is a crying shame that the media spend so much time on a freak, while we mourn the loss of a much more talented entertainer. Teach your children the rules of morality. If we hand over our children to the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Ried, and Franks, they have no chance. Micheal, may he rest in hell!

OMFG!!! I read the answers to this and I want to hurl at the CRAP Im reading. "His death was sudden" "it was never proven that he did that to those boys" Just because one or two families dropped the charges doesnt change the fact that one case was taken ALL THE WAY TO TRIAL! He was let off because he was a celeb. He had great music but Farrah had to battle just as much crap! And what disapoints me is that noone has even THOUGHT to mention Ed Mcman!! He passed the day before them. DROP THE JACKSON CRAP AND TALK ABOUT REAL CELEBS!!!

I think that a few people got away from the question NH hunter was asking...He asked your opinion on the media giving more attention to the plastic pedophile. Not your opinion on his opinion.

    Jonathan glass (jet) coaster

should know that this is America and we have our freedom of Speech and he shouldn't criticize someone else for using that great freedom.

To those that say who is he to judge and then you judge him for his opinion...Who really is the hypocrite.

I agree that Farrah deserves a better tribute. Yes, the unexpectedness of MJ's death is what gives it precedence over FF. At least with her family doesn't have to go through seeing her face on every channel. I can't imagine going through a loss and having to see my loved one on every station, every magazine cover, etc.

Don't worry about any typos, btw. Kinda of a silly thing for someone else to make an issue out of.

a man just died. show some respect. as for the pedophile thing, were you in the room with him? it wasnt proven. lets sit and pick apart your life and all the crap you've done. who are you to judge? in his years in the jackson five and on his own, he accomplished more than most people ever will. there's no need to go talk badly about him.
