Open windows, get a personal fan, wear very light layers, hang out in your basement more often (sounds odd, but my basement is always FREEZING!), take a cool shower, turn on your AC only during select times; use a fan instead at night.

Honestly, you can acclimate to a warmer environment, as well. If you just never turn on the AC, you get used to the warmer temps. We went 3 years without turning ours on, and we live in central Texas. Another good tip--plants. If you can shade your windows and roof with plants and trees, they will absorb a lot of solar radiation.

stick a bucket or a big bowl with ice in it behind your fan. it will blow the cool air generated on you. you dont need to continue putting ice in it as long as it is cool. it will help even without a lot of ice. i did this years ago in my small apartment.

I wish I knew as I have extra heat to cope with because of medical equipment and it is a nightmare!

Be mindful of the types of fabrics you wear in the Summer - use cotton, bamboo and the like. Stay far far away from polyester.

2. don't wear too much
3. buy a hand-fan, but..fanning yourself may make you even hotter so get someone else to do it
4. instead of wearing shoes, wear sandles, or no shoes at all, but remember to wash your feet before going to bed.
5. eat heaps of icecream, but that may give you a head rush....so eat it upside down, maybe it will help
6. sign yourself up for wet t-shirt contests
7. Postpone making love until the summer is over, unless your partner is the cold type it shouldn't matter
8. buy a penguin and keep it in your room...I'm sure it's nature's own air-conditioner......right guys.?..
