My dog has an ear infection what do i do (already took her to the vet)?
my dog has and ear infection, and i already took her to the vet, but i want to know if it is possible to cure her infection at home. the vet says that he will have to pull out her ear hair or something and use some kind of medicine.
for dog ear infection you can cure it at home with a natural dog ear treatment called Dr Dogs Ear Oil It stops pain, kills ear yeast infections in dogs ears. My dog used to be at the vet 3-4 times a year & getting all kinds of meds. Since using this we haven't had problems. http://www.drdogs247.com
I hope you were telling the truth when you said you've taken her to the vet, because ear infections are nothing to mess around with and you're getting some very bad suggestions here for home remedies.
If you have taken him to the vet, call him back and tell him to do his job. If you haven't, you need to do so. It's not expensive or major, but can become so if the infection isn't halted with antibiotics.
Didn't your vet put your dog on Antibiotics when you took her in the first time? Antibiotics are the only thing that will get rid of an Ear Infection. There are no home remedies for this. You need to take your dog back to the vet and have her ear infection taken care of. Ear Infections that are left untreated are not only very painful for your dog, but very dangerous.
Get some ear cleaner for dog from your Vet or from a pet store. Cleaning their ears regularly helps a lot! It is also important to pull or pluck out the hair inside of their ears regularly. I do it to my dog and it doesn't hurt at all...he actually likes it. With the ears all cleaned out the ear infection may start to get better on it's own in a few days but if not then your dog needs antibiotics. Untreated ear infections can result in the dog becoming deaf and needing to have surgery.
Some dogs need ear hair plucked to help prevent ear infections. The hair can trap moisture and debris. Ears are already a great breeding ground for bacteria and the extra only makes it better.
Have the vet show you how to take care of her ears and get the meds from them.
Improperly treated you risk having your dog go deaf.
