What are some other books (not her original Little House series) about Laura Ingalls Wilder?

I remember reading these books back in elementary and middle school. There's this "side" series by Roger Lea Mcbride, The Rose Years, where it describes life from Rose's view as she grows (she's Laura's daughter).

There's also this other series, and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. What I can remember is in this other series, Rose is a young woman, and she conspires with her father Almanzo to make a special honeymoon for him and Laura at a World Fair. Laura also learns how to drive an automobile somewhere in this series. There's also quite a bit about this other family with 3 kids (2 boys and a girl). The girl is kind of a tomboy. I remember in a dinner scene where their dad brings home squirrels for dinner, and they're arguing over who gets the squirrel brains this time. I also remember that one of the boys enters his dog in a dog contest, and pretends the dog can talk by using this little toy that allows him to throw his voice (like a ventriloquist).
Does anyone know what this particular series is called, or who wrote these books?

Additional Details

I don't think it's any of those so far. It had pretty much nothing to do with Caroline, Charlotte, or Martha. Actually, I think I remember the main characters being those 3 little kids.

I've already checked out the Little House books website, and it didn't help.

Apparently, nobody actually read the 2nd paragraph. Anyway, I probably would've picked your answer because at least you tried to get something other than the original series. This stupid thing put it to vote before I could. I found what I was looking for, though. The author is Thomas L. Tedrow.
