Do you feel the following people were deviants because they were gay or lesbian?

Socrates
Alexander the Great
Richard the Lion-Hearted
Aristotle
Julius Caesar
Leonardo Da Vinci
Michelangelo Buonarotti
Marcel Proust
Oscar Wilde
Frida Kahlo
Francis Bacon
Leonard Bernstein
Cole Porter
Jean Cocteau
Tennessee Williams
Eleanor Roosevelt
Herman Melville
Rock Hudson
Elton John
Janis Joplin
James Dean
Hans Christian Anderseen
Andy Warhol

And many more people essential to our world heritage. Can you even conceive of what the world would be missing if these people had been alienated and kept away from society because of their sexual orientation?

Have you ever read one of their books or poems?
Have you ever admired one of their paintings?
Have you ever admired their noble causes?

Sexual orientation is not a choice, but EVEN IF it were, so what? How could it possibly minimize the accomplishments of these people and so many more who have given so much to the world, and to so many who still do today?

I am not gay and I am happy to share the world with everyone who is.
