Seriously, don't worry about that so much. Yes it's true that typically people here are taller, but this is on am average basis and there are the extremely tall and of course much shorter ones and people along the whole range.
5'7" is approx 170cm and that's not very short. That still makes you just taller than the average female here.

Things are not normally built for exceptionally tall people here. e.g. toilets, chairs etc all all normal stuff that you would find in other countries. Of course some people do personalise things e.g. mirrors etc in their house to suit, but nothing special.
Height is not an issue here and discrimination on height is exceptionally rare. Of course amongst friends then people do have jokes, but these would never be made to a stranger and tourists especially.
So what you have heard is not true. I am 5ft10" and so I am not as tall as some guys here, but still find things built for smaller people to be honest e.g. airplane seats are too short (legroom); we just moved to a new house and the sink is too low for me to be really comfortable etd.
So honestly, don't worry about the height issue. Be yourself and don't have an expectations about discrimination, and you will be fine :0)
