Why are people scared of death chain mail?

numerous time while I'm on quizilla, youtube, etc I saw nenerous of death chain, a boy with no face, bloody mary, Sarah's shower, and all of that nature, I once read this possibly stupid I ever seen, it about 2 girls died, 15 years later, a boy never finds that the 2 girls are his sister, he died, his parents died, oh my god, why are people afraid of this crap? also this Carmen's sewer... what is the hell is wrong with the people?

I told them all I get thousands and thousands of death chain mail per month and nothing destroys me...

Some people lack critical thinking skills.

You know, same reason people believe in ghosts, gods, spirits, demons, etc.
