Illegal immigrant might be jailed 3 1/2 years in fatal Chesterfield crash being in the US no longer a crime?

A man from Guatemala was sentenced to 3½ years in prison today for killing a Chesterfield County woman in a drunken-driving crash that left the victim pinned against the side of a convenience store.http://www.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/lo…
But he noted that Bamaca did not intend to kill Carol A. Cooper, 53, and had no prior criminal record so being in the US is no longer a crime ?

Circuit Judge Michael C. Allen sentenced Alberto Candino Bamaca, 39, to a total of 21 years but suspended 17 ½ years of that term on convictions of involuntary manslaughter, felony hit-and-run driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Bamaca had pleaded guilty to the offense Jan. 12.

In meting out punishment, the judge sentenced Bamaca to just under the maximum recommended under state sentencing guidelines, which called for a low of one year and five months to three years and nine months.

"It was a terrible death," Allen said.

But he noted that Bamaca did not intend to kill Carol A. Cooper, 53, and had no prior criminal record or any known problems with drug or alcohol abuse. Yet Allen also took into account that Bamaca fled from the scene after the crash.

According to evidence, Bamaca was driving drunk about 11:40 p.m. Aug. 2 when he pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store at Jefferson Davis Highway and Dundas Road. While apparently attempting to park, Bamaca struck Cooper in the lot, pinning her between Bamaca's minivan and the side of the building, according to prosecutor Dennis Duncan.

Bamaca then jumped out of the vehicle and ran.

last week in my supposedly "all american" city, 4 men (all illegal) were arrested on murder charges. 2 sets of bros. the eldest of each pair agreed to fight (over marijuana). one of them handed his brother a broccoli knife in case things went bad for him in the fight. he actually ended up busting the other guys eye. the little bro (age 20 or so) of the bleeding man decided to bust a bottle in the face of the other for this. so his bro came up behind the little brother and stabbed once in the side with the broccoli knife. both of those guys took off running. so the others (one now stabbed) went to their garage and removed a samauri style sword and chased after them. they all fought again and then ran their separate ways. the guy who was stabbed ended up dropping dead from his injury, around the corner. our genius d.a. decided not to press charges against any of them, except for the brother of the one who died. he claimed this was done because they had pursued the other 2 after they ran.????????????????????????

so i guess nevermind that it was because one of those other guys had stabbed his brother. and the fact that it is a crime by itself for any of them to be here is what? this city is overrun with illegals. cops pull them over all day long. tow the cars and all that jazz, but let them walk away. wtf?
