How can i revive my tomato plant?
it was coming along so well - it began to grow flowers and now i havent see any for a while..... the flowers never really opened up just look tired and fall off - theres som new buds coming but not sure what will happen.
the bottom leaves went yellow and i took them off to stop them taking all the goodness of the soil ( so i was told)
its a cherry tom plant.
All my efforts just wasted - such a shame.

Try a tomato food in water ( high in pot ash ) and make sure no nasties have found their way in the grow bag or a cat or dog haven't sprayed it if it is on the ground

Sounds like a nitrogen or magnesium deficiency--give a good feeding with any balanced fertilizer according to the directions on the package. The yellow leaves don't take any goodness from the soil or the plant, but may spread disease or fungus if that's the problem, so dispose of them in the trash, and not the compost or garden.

Go to ur local hardware store and buy some calcium nitrate. Seems like ur soil doesnt have enough calcium in it and the plants is lacking it. you can get it in a small bag like 5lbs i think. sprinkle maybe a teaspoon around the plant on the ground,,,not in the ground. then water it well for the calcium to soak into the soil. I hope this helps and the plants isnt too far gone.

My own experience with tomato plants and calcium. Its a known fact that it works.

I don't know where you live, but here in New Mexico, I have found the sun to be quite intense. Last year I put up shade cloth over my tomatoes and I had better results as far as blooms staying on and producing fruit. The other thing I tried was a concoction suggested by Jerry Baker, the TV master gardener. When the blooms start to appear, mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom salts(buy at the drug store), 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo, to 1 gallon of water. Soak the plants with this at evening time, when blooms appear in early summer.

all your other answers may be correct, but its a waste of time, you did not water the plants correctly ie to much or to little its that simple you have to water in evening and same amount each time,if you prepared the soil before you planted all would be well if watered right, try new plants or buy all the best John

You don't mention whether your tomato plant is in a pot or in the ground. Leaves turning yellow could be a sign it's getting too much water. If it's in a pot it, that could be the case.
