Lies, deception, harassment and Oxford brand patriarchy?

Ruth Padel, was dubbed the Professor of Poetry at Oxford - first woman in 310 years!

10 days later, it came to light that she had conspired to smear her opponent, a black gentlemen of 79 years of age, of sexual harassment. She printed those claims and circulated among the colleagues. He withdrew from the race. When the story came out, two female professors said this:

Novelist Jeanette Winterson said: "What she has done is so much more ­trivial than her contribution to poetry. This feels malicious and nasty. We ought to be able to look beyond the woman to the poetry. This is a way of reducing women; it wouldn't have happened to a man. But then Oxford is a sexist little dump."

The poet Jackie Kay said: "This was the first time that we had a woman as Oxford professor of poetry – and she has had to resign over two emails. The old boys have closed in on her. It would not have happened to a man, and I am very sad."

these women have lost their minds. If a man did that he would see jail time for it and sexual harassment charges filed against him. They call the school sexist for finding out she tried to smear his reputation through lies. It one thing when it's the presidency its a whole different story when its just for a school job.What truly sick women.

Yeah generally people resign when they know they're going to be ousted.

Anyway, I'm sure a man would have been thrown under a larger bus. Men are the target of society right now. Because feminism has tainted society's mind.

I found the reporting in that story to be disgusting. It was written to make Padel into a sympathetic figure... just gross...

She acted in such a way that proved to her peers that she is not worthy of a prestigious post. What's the problem? She resigned because she's embarrassed, and she should be.
