the kite runner is supposed to be great. fight club is kind of trite, try reading it in 2001. the only one i know you'd like, based on the fact that you don't want to read at all, is fear and loathing in las vegas. it's all about drugs and written in the style of an apathetic hedonist if such a thing can be said to exist.

White Oleander defiantly. Its such a beautiful book. It doesn't really matter about the lenght, you'll just get into it.

Memoirs of a Geisha and the Handmaids Tale are two of my favorites. Memoirs of a Geisha is longer then the Handmaids Tale but I am not sure of the exact page count.

Fight Club is the only one of those I've read, to be honest. However, I have seen the movie version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and it was amazing.
