Ending to seven pounds.?

At the end why did emily meet ezra? I know she was crying because Ben donated ezra his eyes and she saw them but what was the meaning behind emily and ezra meeting eachother?

I personally saw the meaning behind the two of them meeting was, that now they both had someone. We see earlier in the movie that Ezra is alone, he seems interested in the waitress, but can't bring himself to ask her out. "Ben" criticizes him on the phone(when he is trying to get him angry), that he has no one. When "Ben" dies, he leaves Emily alone again. She obviously has not had any type of relationship(before Ben), since she comments in the field that she hadn't felt a certain way in a long time.

I assume Ben sets it up somehow, or Emily takes it upon herself to meet Ezra. Either way it is done to give the viewer a sense that both people now have the opportunity to start a new life, and relationship.

I dont know- thats the art of the movie that got me LOL... My take is that the meaning is you have to sometimes suffer in order to not suffer. Like Emily suffered by losing Ben, but she stopped suffering by getting a donor. She was able to see that when she met Ezra because its hard to see things when it is applied to yourself, its much easier to see them applied to others.
Also the eyes might be symbolic because they are sometimes called "the windows to the soul" maybe her seeing Ben's eyes was like seeing into him???
