Is there a specific reason why Answers suspends an account instead of deleting it? I see that my old account?

has gained almost 1000 points since it was suspended last year. Are they just trying to torture me with the reminders?

Sorry, but if ALL of the Q&A were not in violation, they merely suspend the account, but leave the non-violating answers and questions on the site. So, yes, you can continue to receive points for them.

It is only when the violation that caused the suspension is especially egregious, or when all the postings are violations (like a spam-bot) that the account is totally deleted.
