LG KS360.......... HELP!............?

Question

I am thinking of getting the lg ks360.
they say this phone is especially good for all types of messaging because of it's QWERTY board. the different types of messaging are : SMS, MMS, Email, IM.

i know what they all are but does anyone know if email and im is free? and what type of im is it? e.g msn etc.

also do they both work in ireland? and would it work if it was on an unlocked phone with a sim card in it that want meant for the phone buyout can still do everything else seeing as it is unlocked?
