Why not use the stimulus package to voluntarily retire people over 50 that are still working?

There are over 40 million people over the age of 50 that are still working. Why not offer them 1 million dollars a piece to take a patriotic retirement with strings attached?

The strings attached.

1. You must buy an American made car = 40 million cars bought= Auto industry fixed

2. You must purchase a house= 40 million homes bought= Housing market fixed

3. You must retire from your job= 40 million job openings= Employment fixed.

Why are we not really getting creative in fixing the economy instead of flushing our money?

40 million used cars in the market would flood the used car market Most would already own a home 40 million more homes on the market
Most would be in top management 40 million jobs filled by inexperienced kids
The divorce rate is a little high already in this age group it would sky rocket

But drop it a few years and lets see how it works i well send a weekly report from Bangkok

Yeah your probably right it's not good idea. I'd be like 40 million people just won the lottery all at once, I'd be crazy.
