Greatest female author?

The two obvious choices would be either Jane Austen or George Elliot, although Virginia Wolf also has to rank highly, but who would you say is the greatest?

    I don't believe there is one great author out of them all. I personally think because not everyone agrees on one then there can not be a greatest author only many great authors instead.
