My Hotmail Account is saying I don't have an Inbox when I already do??? help?

This is very very weird... Ok earlier today I signed into my hotmail account with no problem. But now just recently, I signed in with my correct user id and password, it keeps saying "You don't have an Inbox yet, sign up for one here". WTF is this crap? Anyone else getting this? Please tell me its not some kinda virus.

The same thing is happening to me.

I have been using hotmail for the last 8 years, and have never had this problem.

There is a constant loop. It says "You don't have an inbox... yet." The only option given is to "Sign up for Windows Live Hotmail". When I click that there is an option that says "Already a Hotmail..... member? Click here." This link simply brings me back to point A where it says "You don't have an inbox... yet."

What is the solution to this?

I just signed in on msn messenger and clicked the little icon in the messenger box to take me to my hotmail inbox and instead it opened outlook which I've never used and never will.
Finally I just went to hotmail and signed in the old fashioned way and it say's I don't have an inbox. All my contacts are there though.
Something tells me this is conficker.
I hope my 10 years worth of saved emails aren't gone forever. Or maybe it's for the best. Been meaning to clean it out for....... 10 years.

I just received an email. clicked on the number on messenger. NOTHING. "you dont have an inbox.... yet. get one here"
uhm no. ive had that email for 7 years im not about to make everyone clog up mind space learning a new email.

Same problem. Getting peeved. Scanning the computer for viruses, etc. Did some research, apparently the same problem happened before, months ago. Hopefully it's some sort of error on the site's part. If it's Conficker, I'm about to get really mad.

I don't think you're alone, I just had the same issue when I just now tried to log in. I'm guessing this is just a fluke, and they'll have it fixed soon. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and try again. If it's still stuck tomorrow, than I'll start to worry heh..

Phew! I was really worried when I saw the message saying I didn't have an inbox yet! And I checked all 3 hotmail addresses and they were all same. I am glad I came here to find out everybody is having the same problem. I do have some important emails and I had a problem with my server email account before that's why I switched to hotmail! argh!

this should make us all think about trusting our important files whether they be email, photos, documents, etc. to a free service. you have no recourse if everything is lost.

I got here because I typed in "why does Hotmail tell me I don't have an in box." If this is MSN/Hotmail doing one of their "improvements" they need to hear from us en masse. I discovered the same problem at 9:10pm PST on 4/08 after using Hotmail all day.

I am having the same problem and it is screwing me over because I am taking a web class and that is the e-mail all the info he sends too me, and I can not remember his e-mail. so yeah oh joy ,rapture and happy day!

Thank GOD I thought I had some kind of virus! I was almost in tears! I have 2 hotmail accounts, personal and business andi cant access either one!!! I hope they fix this soon especially the business one or Im screwed!! Hotmail just doesnt seem to be what it used to be years ago. Too many things going wrong.

It seems it is a general problem. Does anyone know if there is a way to get technical help or something? Because if there isn't we all probably lost alot of information and important documents due to something unexplainable....

OMG!!!! This has happened to me too I was freakin' out I thought I was the only one this happend too! I just tried to check my e-mail and everything is gone! :(
