Good high energy songs that everybody knows?

I'm getting a band together and we want to perform in our school talent show. We are all great musicians, except for one person, and decided that we want to outdo the energy level of this one band. To do this, we need to play a song that fits the following criteria:

- everybody has to know it

-Has to have a ton of energy!

- The chords are simple (for my friend on rhythm guitar), aka, very few bar chords

-However, the song as a whole has to sound impressive and not too simple even though the chords are simple

-Has to have room for a good solo

-Has to be able to be sung by average singers

-Has to actually be a good song, ex: I refuse to play the Jonas Brothers even though everyone knows their stuff.

I'm into more classic rock and less of the modern stuff, but am willing to compromise. Here is what I have come up with:

More than a Feelin' - Boston
Won't get fooled Again - The Who
Superstition - Stevie Wonder

But we need help getting some more as none of these are perfect fits.

Btw, no lynyrd skynyrd as they've been tapped out by talent show bands at our school along with AC/DC and "Don't Stop believin'" by Journey

Deep Purple- Smoke On The Water
Sabbath- Iron Man, Into the Void

If you consider More than A Feeling to be of average talent level then my hat is off to you my friend.

If you are looking for something that is classic, look towards Aerosmith. They have some of the most energetic songs of all times and they can put some of the best shows of all time. There song that is really good of their's is Same old song, Same old dance. Pretty simple to play. Also there is Dream On. But I would put something in there that will really touch home to some of the people there. I recommend Lights by Journey. Also, Looks towards Van Halen. Their two songs Unchained and Panama are some of the greates known songs ever, and kick @$$ riffs. I would say Don't Stop Dancin' by Creed, but Scott Stapp has a one in a kind of voice. Well, those are my votes. Do what you want with them.
