When is my birthday, I'm not kidding?

Hello,

I am Patty G, no I am not a nurse. I was wrongly accused and fired at my hospital job for stealing first aid and other supplies. Anyway, I was born on April 18 at 12:50am. that is what it says on my birth certificate. Shouldn't it say April 19th since it was after midnight? Have I been celebrating on the wrong day. My dad has runned off with yet another woman (his so called 3rd wife) and is impossible to get a hold of to ask about this. My mom does not know anything, doesn't case either. I don't have any children so don't know who does the birth certificate process when born. Thank you.

If you were born at 12:50 AM on April 18th then that's your birthday. Every single day starts at midnight after 11:59 the day before. Your mom went to the hospital on April 17th, and you were born after midnight, therefore on April 18th. You're making it more complicated than it needs to be.

If your mom went in on the 17th, and then had you after midnight, then the 18th is what the certificate would say.

Either way the time will be 12:50am. The only way it would be different would be if it were military/24 hours and it would say 0050.

I would say that your birthday is April 18th. My reasoning for this is because if you were born 10 minutes later it would say 1 am. So, I think that it is just 12:50 am, early in the morning, on April 18th.

No, the 12:50 refers to 50 minutes after April 18th started, or 50 minutes after April 17th ended. You are in fact celebrating your birthday correctly don't worry

Is this a serious question? You can't figure out that you were born shortly after midnight on April 18? You actually can't? I don't have to be rude, no, but you should be embarrassed for yourself.

Um, I'd guess it's April 18th, if thats what it says on your birth certificate...

Yeah your mom (most likely) started the delivery on the 17th and you finally came out right in the beginning of the 18th.
