Does Doxycycline work for acne?

Question

Just got a prescription, have tried everything for my acne except accutane. I am no teenager mind you, I'm almost 30. :( What has been your experience while taking it. I just want clear skin, not a million dollars, ya know?

Hey, yeah- I know what you're saying.

I'm 16 years old and I don't suffer from horribly bad acne, although it's still fairy noticeable. My uncle who's a doctor prescribed me this stuff for three months, he said it works wonders. So yeah, I was excited because my skin wasn't that bad so I figured I could get rid of all of it.

I've been on it for a bit more than two months now, out of the three months and to be honest- I haven't seen a change at all. I GUESS you could say the lumps on my forehead have reduced slightly, but they're still there. Who knows, different things work for different people.
