A little help understanding?

Question

the poem "Braiding" by Li-Young Lee. I have to not summarize, but interpret the meaning of this poem in five pages.

I just can't quite understand the greater meaning behind this poem. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what the meaning really is of this poem?

I think the meaning is that, they love each other, and as time passes, they still ove each other every day, when he says braiding her hair, he means loving her, and showing her how he feels about her. Poems have a way of saying one thing, and meaning another. Its all in what it means to you, it means a different thing to each person. Good luck on your summery, hope i could help
