Why do most girls in high school smoke weed?

this girl i was talking called me lame lol because i didnt want to smoke weed with her lol Wtf

i dont talk to her anymore because shes a smoker(i think thats why she has bad memory and is a D average student)

but why do most people in high school smoke weed?

I don't think "most" girls smoke weed in high school--but I think those that do are guilty of making poor choices.

I don't think you are wrong for avoiding people who use illegal drugs. Plenty of people, young and old, seem to think marijuana use is perfectly fine and that is ridiculous for it to be illegal--but I disagree.

I do not think you are lame for not smoking weed. I think you have a brain in your head and are using your school time to invest in your eduation rather than to burn off brain cells.

The fact that she is a D student is quite telling about the effects of pot use on high school students.

I would not give a pot smoker the time of day. I steered clear of them. Maybe they thougth I was square--but I don't care. I graduated with honors, got into an excellent college, got my BS and masters degree and had a successful career.

The only thin more pathetic in my opinion than a teenage potsmoker is one that is still toking up at my age.

Of course there will be many stoners that will give me a thumbsdown on this answer...and that's fine... they don't like to be disagreed with...they are a little paranoid. :D

There may be a few exceptions of people that make something of themselves and chose to smoke weed recreationally. They've convinced themselves that it is okay--and it's a risk they've decided to take because for them the positives out weigh the cons... but I do think that perhaps they could have amounted to even more than they are at present if they had avoided it.

A surprising amount of people smoke weed, everyone has their own opinion of it

some people refuse to associate themselves with those who do it, and there is nothing wrong with that.


Edit: I see all of these people saying about how smokers are bad and it ruins lives, Well, I am a smoker, and I have a very steady management job, and I have my life in order, pot isn't just for deadbeats, its a form of recreation, but like i said earlier, everyone can have their own opinion

Well most people smoke weed in high-school is if they are "cool" but don't listen to people like them because you might end up having no job no education or life when you get older.Weed will not kill you on the first hit but you can end up having no life when your older.Also some people smoke weed to let stress out to forget things that happened in the past and they try to ignore there problems and just smoke.

you cant dismiss everyone who smokes weed as a bad person but smoking weed is seriously dumb-aside from the fact it could screw up their health it could also set them on the road to taking stronger drugs.it maybe common in your high school for girls to smoke but in mine only one girl did in the whole year.we didnt shun her,we were her friends but we tried to convince her to stop and when she did we kept saying how great it was and how proud we were.the problem with being friends with someone who smokes though is that they try and convince you to do it and over a long time weed will make them paranoid and moody,if you can be friends with people who dont smoke it would be much better.just never ever join in the smoking

Is that right? Where are these children's parents? I had a friend when I was a freshman in college that I was friends with in high school. She smoked all the time and when I would come home from school, we'd hang out and she'd be toking it up. She asked me one time if I wanted to smoke with her. I said no, and after that, she never asked me again, ever and we remained friends.

I wouldn't remain friends with somebody who felt the need to pressure me to do something with them whether it's smoking weed or something else. I stayed friends with this girl because she respected my decision to not smoke and she left it at that. It doesn't sound like those girls respect you, and seeing as respect is the cornerstone of any relationship, you are right to leave them alone.

I don't think smoking weed is bad. I do it and so do my friends. People who take it too far are idiots but teenagers experiment. I mean, I'm only 16 and in my last year of secondary school so I probably wont do it for much longer.
The girl who said that to you is lame. She obviously only does is to look cool and she wants more people to know she does it. I don't think you should blank her but just tell her you don't wanna do it. I have really good friends who refuse to have anything to do with the drugs me or my friends take [e.g: lsd and weed] and we just respect that.
Most people do it because we are young and enjoy partying hard. Like we cant just have a glass of wine, we have to get trashed.

I didn't know of any girls in my high school that smoked weed (but that doesn't mean they didn't). Mainly it was boys in my class that smoked weed.

I do think that it's pathetic that she called you lame for not smoking weed. I dont think that its wrong for you for not tro give them a chance. I dont blame you. they arent all bad, but do what you think/feel is right

Smoking weed is no big deal. but if you don't want to, you certainly shouldn't and you shouldn't be called lame. I don't think as many high schoolers smoke as you think, but nonetheless you're the smarter one for not doing something you don't want to, especially one that is illegal.

I went through high school and never ever did. And none of my friends did either. Especially none of my girl friends.
If you have a moral objection to smoking, of course you should not date her or whatever.
I would never date a guy that smoked. I just think it is gross.
