Anyone else feel like the unluckiest person in the world?

I hate myself and I dread my luck :
-My English teacher gave the class extra credit, but I was ineligible of some stupid reason
-Tennis practices, which I so very LOVE, are canceled because of rain (and the rain happens to come down only on tennis practice time)
-I always get caught in everything bad I do
-I have no school friends (or any neighborhood friend) who have the same passion or hobby
-My parents and older sister constantly tell lies to me
-My PE teacher dislike me (I have no idea why) and give me below average scores when others were given good scores, even though previous teachers give me average or above average scores. (PE matters to me because I love it)

I feel like s#1t, I can't feel any worse.

Oh God!

-If you are doing good in your English class, extra credit shouldn't be an issue.
-Tennis practice is just Tennis practice. You'll live.
- If you get caught in everything bad you do. WELL DESERVED! don't do bad things.
-It is very hard to find someone who has the same passion. If you have real good friends, this shouldn't matter.
- I'm sure your parents and sister have their reasons for lying to you.
- Your teacher doesn't dislike you. Maybe you are not putting enough effort. Stop comparing your teachers, they all grade differently.

These are childish things. It amazes me the things that some teenagers stress over. You'll laugh about it in the future.

Have you ever taken one of those psychic tests? You know the one where you guess the card? If one picks at random, one should score 1 out of 5 right (5 different cards to choose from).

I consistently score only 1 right for every 8 cards - and it does not matter whether I try it 20, 50, or 200 tries. I consistenly score well below average.

I gave up buying lottery tickets because I consistently lose. It always seems like murphy follows me around. Everything goes wrong in the most bizarre way around me.

Look on the bright side. Since you know you will get caught in every bad thing you try, you know all you have to do is remain honest and true. It may be less fun, but that's something of a virtue few others ever attain.

Just change your perspective. The problem is not you. The problem is with the rest of the wrold. You are not the one lying - it's your parents and your sister. It's not you. It's your teachers. In every case you cited, the problem is not with you, but with the world around you.

Just accept that which you cannot change and determine not to let it wreck your attitude. And the next time someone lies to you, don't bother telling them it's a lie - just cite your reason for thinking it's a lie and see their reaction.

Dnt worry, try not to think too much in to it....just think:
'someone is always worse off than you'
i havent had much luck lately....got a parking ticket....ppl are trying to claim off my insurence for something i didnt do...but it's okay...as long as i have my health (as my dad says) everything will be okay.

Dude, you're not unlucky, you're just a teenager in high school. That's how life goes. You have no power over adults yet, and you still get into trouble and don't see why getting caught is fair (it is, so if you can't do the time don't do the crime). You don't know who your true friends are, and you don't get along with your family. You're unsure of who you are and sometimes that translates to a lower self esteem. And GOD FORBID it rains. I live in a place where it rains every damn day but I deal with it.

Why? How?

I don't know. But I went to college and I learned a thing or two. I learned that in this world there are way worse things than having teachers not like you or not getting detention for every little thing. People in the world are being imprisoned by violence, our environment is in the sh***er, millions of people are unemployed, and they have kids to feed. People are stuck in abusive relationships, murderers get out free, and the economy is screwed. But no one seems to care because they just got the new iPod touch.

But enough of this seriousness. Want to see others who have worse luck, but you want to laugh too? Go to www.fmylife.com and you'll forget about your own troubles.

I'm aware that this sounded like a b**** answer, and if you're giving the best answer to whoever tells you what you want to hear then I'm screwed anyway. I'm here to help so that's what I'm going to do, and with that said I'll give you some real applicable advice. Everyone goes through tough times as a teenager. But muscle through and be a good kid, no matter what kind of crap you take, after all it's all you can really do and one day it will truly pay off for being the good guy. Finding yourself and staying true to who you are is what maturity is all about, and once you get that down there's nothing that'll get to you. When you go to college you'll meet a lot of new people, you'll get out of that crappy school and away from your family (who will learn to appreciate you) and your life will be a lot better. Everyone who hates high school loves college.

Life sucks sometimes, but what are you going to do about it? Are you going to sit indoors sulking when it's raining, or are you going to say f*** it and play tennis in the rain?

your problem is called " why me syndrome"

you think that why all these happens to only me. Then let me tell you that there
are people who have luck worse than you.I do not want to scare you but let me tell you
a true incidence, parents sold a child to get food for themselves and the kid was then made blind
and forced to beg.where should that kid stand if you declare that you are unluckiest.

If a couple of teachers hate you or if you imagine that the whole world cant speak
truth then that is not the end. You are in school now and have whole life left to
discover things. Stop thinking all these.If you dont have friends make friends here
in yahoo Q and A, solve others problems.

Tell us after a week that did you try not to think in this manner as you do now.

Oh yeah, well you know my luck is so bad that even when I am the only one to answer a question lately, someone picks "no best answer" and I don't get any points.

Or... this is really unlucky, I get a bunch of thumbs up from everyone else, but the asker just picks someone who agrees with them. That's just my luck, right!

well this morning, i saw a black cat break a mirror under a ladder which was indoors with an open umbrella on the top.



I got struck by lightning about 20 minutes ago.

Nah you aren't the unluckiest person in the world. Go and visit a hospice where people are dying of cancer or a homeless shelter or a country where there is war going on or drought or famine or go and sit with someone who's child has just died. Get things in perspective. These things aren't anything to do with luck. Not everyone can like you so just do what you have to do and if they do then good. If not then oh well. If you have tried your best you don't have anything to worry about. Don't do bad things and you wont ever get caught doing them. Get a new hobby and make new friends. All families lie and annoy each other. At least you have a family. Ask the teachers why you got lower scores and work harder to get better scores. Some people on this earth would give a lot just to have a school to go to and be educated. Don't take all you have for granted. Be grateful for all you have and all you can have and once you become grateful you will realize that your life is a gift and all you have to do is unwrap it. Being unlucky is an excuse for not wanting to try. Never give up and soon enough you will be as 'lucky' as anyone else.

i live in a two bed room house with 6 people
my cat got hit by a car on Christmas
i dont get to eat very often

someone broke into my house and took my collage money
i was abused by my grandma
and raped by my sisters ex boyfriend

Some times luck does not favor us and we face defeats every where. It is the time to show our patience.Other point is we have to analise whether we can do any thing to win over the people. If we sit cursing our bad luck , we can't achieve any thing.Try to find out how to improve your self. Go and ask your teachers how to do better. They will really appreciate and guide you.Try to do every thing perfectly and up to their satisfaction. Luck will be yours.All the best!
