Meeting guy from internet?

my friend is addamently against meeting strange men on the internet, which is very understandable. But for the past month, I've meet a kool seemingly normal jewish guy from the eastcoast on hotornot. I know dear reader that you will criticize me based on that. And I don't blame you. I would too. I always look forward to chatting with this guy. I love his sense of humor (very diff than my own), and non-sexual display of affection (theres no dirty undertones). We've exchanged pics too.
Fact#1
He Has this t-shirt with an outlined face on it that describes it as Natalie Portman's stalker (ex: blue eyes, 5'8..etc).

Fact#3
on our first chat (he did not send pics then). He said his name was Moshe Bradman. Doing my own research (looking up public records) I figured Bradman was not his true last name. Its actually Goldberg. There was a 25 yr old man who lived in the eastcoast state , Moshe has told me. Then it clicked. there was a listing of other relatives (sisters) which he also told me he had.

Fact#3: the peice struck me as odd, sorry its a little long so bear with.

*he wants to come over to California in April. Thought of meeting me. At first I thought should I invite him home to meet my family. I know I won't be alone.
Or meet him at a cafe/mall/movies (public place) and bring along my grandpa. He always backs me up. And also take a pocket knife with me just in case? lol.

Please people I need advise. Very good advice

P.S: I'm not a teen (23)

so your saying that your afraid he might be a phyco? lol im not saying uve been watching to many movies or anything but realisticly the chances of that are like, probly the same as winning the lotto, meet him in a public place if you want but i dont think bringing any of your family will be the best way for you to get to no him better on your first real date. Besides his a jew, i dont think a jewish person has ever committed a murder? I could be wrong?

Not really sure what to think on the shirt part....sorry...=/

He most likely felt safer using false information to give him some sort of protection from creepers on the internet--not that you are one, but just in case. It's what tons of cautious people do; it's a good thing in my opinion.

Hmmmm.... I get the feeling that he was trying to tell you something that you might not normally pick up on in the chat. He could either be telling you that he likes you--from the frog and prince part--and wants to date you for sure so he can protect you...Or he could be giving you a hint that your relationship isn't what it seems. Interpret that as you wish. Can't really say for sure though because I don't know his personality =/

I say meet him in a public place with a family member, so that way if he is a stalker, he won't know where you live...But if he's just a normal guy, then you're safe. I vote for the pocket knife just in case ^-^; it's always better to be safe than sorry

Yo, I don't think you should.

But if you really want to meet him...

    1. if you bring somebody, bring a girlfriend and not your damn grandpa.
    2. meet at the entrance of the mall, walk around and then eat

    3. think it over one more time

you're going to bring your grandpa and a knife to meet some boy in a public place? what the ****?
If some girl did that to me I'd be outie.
