yea it is the same as saying unconditional love

It means you cannot always love everything about a person. You have to overlook their shortcomings sometimes...because they are your friend.

You've got that friend that you like most of the time, but sometimes they can be annoying. When they are annoying, or they are mad at you for some silly reason, you just let it go, because you know they will get over it. The question is should you put up with their foolishness, and are they really your friend because they expect you too.

It is saying that when you are angry with someone you kind of let things breathe for awhile without judging someone or yelling at them and bringing them down... because when you love someone they should be your friend... and friends always want friends to be the best they can be. No one wants to see a friend fail.
