What's the difference between the words "Who" and "Whom"?

I need to know the difference between who and whom for our writing finals..

you use "whom" with a preposition.

to whom, with whom,

Who do you know?
To whom do you want to know?

You will be going with whom?
Who are you going with?

The book was written by whom?
Who wrote the book?
