She's a gadfly, a bit of a reactionary, but I think she was needed when the sex-negative feminists threatened to take over the movement...

She is an interesting study in contrasts. I agree with her on a few things, respect her personal respect for religion despite being firmly atheist, and disagree on others. She is a dynamic personality.

Every movement needs diverse perspectives to keep it 'alive', relevant; she can be anatgonistic but academically, intellectually dynamic.

I hate feminism but I quite like her though.
I like the fact that she is an atheist who respects religion because that discribes me as well.
She what I'd call a mature feminist more rational then her sisters.

I have found her obnoxious. I feel that the straight media were really glad to have a lesbian who was really anti woman and prepared to tear us to shreds over every feminist issue - they could sit back and let her be the misogynist instead of them.
I have not read her stuff - I have tried, but I have not been able to I do not find it interesting. I feel that she is provocative for the sake of it, which I do not respect.

Another second rate attempt at being a Nietzsche, with the added irony that she is female. That big book of hers from the 90s, more metaphorical turns of phrase than Shakespeare, but with less interest (and that's saying something).

I thought highly of her, and then I actually read one of her books, and I disliked many of her ideas.
But then again, there are few people I agree with fully, and she certainly is intelligent and passionate.

I quite like her. She's cool Edgy yet respectful in her own way.

She is right in identifying the very real power that attractive women have, especially in a rational culture. I thought of her as a real kick in the pants when I ran in more academic circles, partly because of how much she annoyed the kind of pseudo-intellectual, feminist academic hacks that really annoyed the **** out of me. I generally try to partake of a mentally and spirtually more healthy plane of existence than the one she spends her time arguing on.
edit: Carter wants you! should get the points.
