Why does Marv Albert keep saying Sasha Vujacic gave himself the nickname "The Machine"?

Even long after TJ Simers from the L.A. Times proved that it was Stu Lantz and Joel Meyers that gave Vujacic the nickname? Why does Marv Albert keep doing this?

I know poor Marv just can't get it right, he did it last year to. Actually it was the Lakers play by play radio annoucer Spiro Dedes who gave Sasha that nick name.

Idk they started doing it in the playoffs last year,and reggie would burn him everytime,but im a sasha fan.
