Murder of Angels by Caitlin R Kiernan?

Question

I've read the summary and I wasn't sure if this book was a horror story or just a fantasy story that I can read without getting nightmares (I'm not very good with scary stories =P). If it is scary, on a scale of one to ten, what number would this book be?

And finally, is this a book you would reccommend to an avid fantasy book lover?

Additional Details

The guy in my display picture is Gaspard Ulliel; he's a French actor. Recently he's been in Hannibal Rising as Hannibal. He is sooooo gorgeous!

Hey, it's sometimes good to take a little gamble or a bit of a risk especially when it's books. I also find it nice to take a break from reading just one type of genre. Besides, if you are not sure if you will like you can always borrow from the library and return it if you find it not suiting you.

Just a question: who's that guy in your display picture? I see him everywhere and it's driving me crazy.
